The highlight of any day must surely be when you receive an email titled 'you are amazing !' this is what landed in my inbox on Wednesday from Mary, a Bonzie Bridal client who wore a Carina wedding bolero with capped sleeves for her wedding,
Along with her generous words of praise were gorgeous pictures of her special day, Mary looks so beautiful, relaxed and happy in these pictures that it brought a huge smile to my face knowing that my bolero had contributed in part to these lovely pictures
Thank you so much Mary for making my day with your kind words and wonderful pictures, I wish you and your new husband a very happy future together.

A New Love Affair

During the summer I went along to a craft fair to source some new fabric dies and to finally put a face to the name of the lovely person who has for some time now supplied me with dies and all things sizzix through her wonderful on line store http://createwithkate.com/

what I unexpectedly found at the craft fair was the incredible world of paper craft and mixed media crafts, it may seem a bit odd that having used sizzix dies regularly I never made the connection to the paper craft world but I guess when you work with a medium like fabric you tend to associate everything to that particular medium.
Kate however soon put an end to my ignorance and introduced me to all things paper and more importantly to all things Tim Holtz, with all the excitement of a child on Christmas morning I went home with a bag of goodies, papers, inks, stains even little ornate feet, all things I had no idea how to use but a new love affair was begun and I was totally smitten.
Over the last few weeks I've been working on a project to use all these wonderful products and I think it's finally finished, predictably enough it took on a very definite sewing theme and now has pride of place in my workshop,

as we help others enjoy creativity
and worthwhile accomplishments
in this we make a difference

Kate Walsh and her wonderful shop will be at the Knitting and stitching show this weekend in the RDS Dublin stand A34,

This weeks new bonziebridal.etsy.com corset is finally finished, a beautiful winter white corset trimmed with French Alechon lace,  ivory silk corsages and intricate hand beading

From a work in progress, where there was lots of pinning and rearranging and then even more rearranging of all the elements that make up this gorgeous corset, until.......

  the final placement of embellishments was decided, and then the magic happened, the final product....

Now this particular bride had some very definite and different ideas on how she was going to wear and style this piece and I was intrigued to say the least,
